MAMC is actively involved in the professional training of youth in
the health sector. The Ma Ayesha Institute of Education and Allied Health
Sciences was established in 2004 and is registered with and affiliated
to the University of Karachi. It was founded with the following aims and
objectives

To provide quality
education to professionals working with both adults and children with
neurological, psychological and developmental disorders
•
To enable allied
health professionals hands on training utilizing the specific patient
population coming to MAMC
•
To allow the
students the benefit of the practical experience of faculty, some
internationally trained, who are clinical experts in this field and work
closely with the type of patients mentioned above
•
To create
dedicated, competent and capable professionals to serve individuals with
limitations and disabilities
The Ma Ayesha Institute offers a one year University of Karachi
diploma course in special education and neurological rehabilitation. We
subsequently plan to offer more diploma, degree and master level courses in
special education, neurological rehabilitation and speech pathology.
The institute functions under the guidance of an advisory board that
includes the management as well as health professionals, physicians,
psychologists, educationists & special educationists.
