PHYSIO THERAPY | |||
Physiotherapy is a
part of the allied health profession and possibly the most important and
effective therapeutic modality that a comprehensive orthopedic and
neurorehabilitation program can offer. The goal of physiotherapy is to restore, optimize and encourage the highest level of function in those suffering from physical limitations as a result of trauma (head, neck, shoulder, hip and back injuries), accidents (fractures, spinal cord injuries, burns), sports injuries, stroke, cerebral palsy (physical defects due to childhood brain injury as a result of decreased blood or oxygen supply), spine and neuromuscular disorders (spondylitis, spina bifida, polio, als, sma, muscular dystrophies and muscle and nerve diseases, chronic rheumatologic diseases (osteoarthritis and inflammatory authorities), weakness due to prolonged illness and/or immobilization, surgery, malnourishment and weight loss bone and joint deformities (club foot, congenital hip problems, arthrogryposis and kyphoscoliosis Pain of musculoskeletal (chronic neck and back pain, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow and spinal stenosis) or neurological (pinched nerves, sciatica and neuropathic pain) origin. In addition, a qualified and well-trained physiotherapist, well-versed in body biomechanics, posture control and movement analysis, as some at MAMC indeed are, serves as a guide and trainer for able-bodied, physically high-functioning individuals involved in competitive sports, weight training, martial arts and professional and recreational dancing, to get that extra edge, precision and technique, through enhancement of strength, stamina, flexibility and skill. The physiotherapy department at MAMC takes great pride in being able to offer exceptional services at a reasonable and competitive cost. We have a team of qualified and dedicated professionals who provide personal consultations, therapy and training under the able supervision of a foreign-trained physical therapist. MAMC is fully equipped with the prerequisite equipment and facilities for all the necessary modalities of physiotherapy. We have an impressive gym area for functional rehabilitation, private rooms for one-to-one sessions and an in-house swimming pool, designed for those with special needs, for aquatic/hydrotherapy sessions. We are also specialized in the Australian method of spinal manipulation therapy for neck and back problems. The exceptional feature of rehabilitation at MAMC, that keeps us a notch above our competitors, is our overall emphasis on personalized, problem-solving and goal-oriented approach towards therapy. Rather than practicing a standard fit-for-all method with occasional minor modifications, we believe in a holistic style of physiotherapy unique and distinctive in so many of the following ways Attention to comprehensive assessment (diagnostic, physical, functional, nutritional and psychological) Realistic goal setting Evidence-based interventions Frequent outcome measurement and reassessment Biometric/body mechanics evaluation (position. posture, tone, balance, movement sequences, compensation and adaptability Disability interventions (posture, seating and support equipment usage and adjustment) Orthotic and splint adjustment For appointments, call 0092-21-4541281 4542685 |
